People Mover

Explore Durban with ease using the People Mover bus service, designed for tourists and locals alike.

What is the People Mover?

The People Mover Service was introduced in 2009 and is a scheduled service that offers priority seating for universally accessible passengers and loops in the Central Business District (CBD) of Durban, including the South and North Beach Coastlines.
The service offers three routes operating between 05h00 and 23h00 with a service frequency of 15 minutes in peak and 30 minutes in off-peak.

Commuters can pay for their travel on the People Mover Service using the MUVO smartcard or cash. A single trip or daily unlimited travel is available for purchase.
More information on the People Mover Timetables and Fares is provided below or contact the Public Transport Information Centre on 087 121 9446 or info@godurban.co.za

Using MUVO Cards with People Mover

The People Mover uses the MUVO payment system, a cashless smartcard launched in 2012 for Durban’s bus services, including Durban Transport and Mynah buses. Load trips or cash onto your MUVO Card at PayPoints or MUVO Smart Vans, then tap to pay on the bus. Concession cards are available for seniors, scholars, and people with disabilities. For assistance, contact 080 000 6886 or visit a MUVO Smart Van in central, southern, or northern Durban.
